A sculptor sees their creation before they remove a single stone. A painter sees the image on the canvas long before they touch it with a brush. The universe knows what we need and when we need it, and no matter how impatient we may be, the Creator controls the timing while the angels work on its delivery to us. The beauty of it all, especially when you ask the silent question with your heart, the response from those we cannot see, lets us know we are not alone on this journey and that what is in our hearts is heard.
Asking or praying for something and not having an open mind or heart to receive the answer seems like a waste of time. Looking the same way at things can leave you stuck, but there is nothing wrong with revisiting something that could still be an issue to see if seeing it from a different angle because of time or if new information comes to light allows you to change your perspective on it. Discovering something that catches your eye like it never did before may bring clarity, which we should all be thankful for and appreciate. We need to open ourselves up to the message, drop our expectations about how it should be delivered, and take the steps we can in opening more than our eyes that will allow us to find the strength, courage, and resolve to take the next step in our heart’s direction.
Before seeing the image on the dining room wall, I was stuck, unable to see that I was the only one left in the relationship. When you ask questions of the universe out loud, demanding an answer out of frustration, hurt, or pain that helps you understand the purpose for the pain, the answer from the universe comes in a manner so loud that all you can hear is the deafening silence that humbles you, leaving you speechless. We are not always ready to hear, see, or even understand the purpose of the pain, but that is the mystery of the universe. The creator knows when we are ready, likely having planted the seed some time ago, and with water, sunlight, and proper nutrients, the plant is prepared to bear the fruit of that labor. Had I not turned after asking and seen the wall from that angle with the light on, I may never have noticed the image, and I know it would not have had the same impact if I had not asked what I did and how I did.
As you recover, you realize that the universe was waiting for you to be in the position that would allow it to send a message that would get your attention and force you to realize things that you would otherwise be unwilling or unable to see. As you gain strength, courage, and resolve to pick yourself up and dust yourself off, you chip away and let go of what held you back. You now know that your foundation can withstand any storm that life may throw at you, and such knowledge is priceless.
I have a light within me and will protect it, even if that means I need to use a little darkness. No matter how you define life and living, success or failure, love or hate, poor or wealthy – there are distinct differences between those who use their bank account or another material item to define them versus those who have and utilize something money cannot buy. Life is worth living. It may not be smiles and laughter twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, but that is no reason not to try. You are the only one who can live your life, so live every moment you can.
